Rooster Ridge Cabin
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. We went about 10 minutes down the road to Chimney Rock and hiked one day. The next day we went to Biltmore and then down the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin was wonderful. We sat in the hot tub under the stars. It was incredible!!! The cabin has all the comforts of home with none of the headaches. I would recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. We are considering making the cabin a yearly getaway. The cabin was clean and all linens were provided. The pictures do not do the cabin justice, you have to see it to really take it all in. Hope this is helpful for anyone looking to relax.

We had a great time there and it was convenient to all the attractions in the area. The cabin is very well equipped including the kitchen necessities. The owner was more than helpful with anything we needed. Looking forward to another stay in the future. You wont be disappointed.
I brought my family to Rooster Ridge to stay there for the SAFF fiber festival and to ride the train. We had a wonderful time, the cabin was very clean and welcoming and had every amenity you could ask for. We enjoyed the front porch and rocking chairs and the hot tub. The location was convenient to all sites we wanted to visit. The property owners are extremely helpful, responsive and friendly. Great time, thank you!

Black 'Beary' Cabin
We had a wonderful time at Black Beary Cabin! From the awesome hot tub to the cozy fireplace, the cabin was very spacious for two couples and our two little ones. We loved the firepit on the cold fall nights. We highly recommend visiting Downtown Hendersonville (especially for shopping-Mast General Store/Old Town Market and eating at Flight/Hannah Flannigan’s). We’ve been visiting the Hendersonville areas for a few years now and love the quaint area. You won’t be disappointed with the Black Beary Cabin…far away enough from town to feel you are out in your own world. 🙂
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Black Beary Cabin. It was spacious, updated and cozy! We appreciated it being dog-friendly. The gas fireplace made the living room/dining room/kitchen area extra toasty on the winter weekend we stayed. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were big. Overall – a great place to launch our explorations of Hendersonville, Chimney Rock and Asheville/Biltmore Estate. Downtown Hendersonville was a fun surprise – great shops and restaurants, not crowded, unique. Thanks to the owner for making our arrangements very easy!
For anyone that needs to get away from it all and be in extremely clean, well-appointed, comfortable accomodations, this is the cabin for you! The description of the cabin was perfectly accurate. Myself, my husband, adult daughter and 2 Golden Retrievers (Toby and Jacqui), all had a wonderful time relaxing in the cabin, hot tub (only the humans) and hiking around the cabin. It was also was a very convenient drive to the fun places we went: Chimney Rock, historic downtown Hendersonville, Asheville, multiple farm stands and apple orchards. The area is very dog-friendly so the dogs came everywhere I just mentioned. Richard (the owner) was a pleasure to work with. He helped make our very last minute vacation a reality. We travel to NC at least once a year and we would definately call Richard first and be very content to stay in Black Beary Cabin again!
Lauren, Peter, Samantha, Toby and Jacqui
Me and my wife rented the tree house for a week and it was great. Secluded, quiet, and very peaceful. The home had everything we needed to make it a home away from home for a week. The bed was very comfortable. Sitting on the deck in the evenings and mornings was great. I don’t think you could find a more quiet place to stay. Also, it’s an quick drive to many of the local sites and attractions in the Asheville/Brevard/Hedersonville area. We hope to do it again!
The ‘Tree House’ is a perfect mountain retreat that is equally charming and secluded – yet very close to many places of interest (DuPont forest, Hendersonville, and much more). The cozy house was extraordinarily clean and provided all the necessities (and more) for a wonderful weekend getaway.
Richard was very professional, responsive, and a pleasure doing business with. The property was just as we expected and included many items that made our visit that much easier (hot tub, washer/dryer, cooking supplies, and even a downstairs/indoor storage that was perfect for our mountain bikes!).
Highly recommended rental experience. A+++
I booked this fantastic home in March of 2012. Sadly, due to circumstances outside of my control, I was forced to cancel my stay. Richard was accommodating and he refunded my deposit quickly. Although I didn’t stay at this house, I would recommend working with Richard because of his professionalism and understanding.
Eagle's Rest Lodge
We thoroughly enjoyed Eagles Rest. Upon arriving, our 15 month old loved running around the property, especially feeding the fish. The cabin is a great cabin for couples or families. We loved opening the windows for a fresh breeze and sounds of crickets/frogs. The hot tub is an excellent addition to the home. We were able to utilize the hot tub every night and loved the solar powered fireflies glistening in the night. Loved being able to walk down to the stream, where you can sit on a bench to enjoy the quietness of nature. We have stayed in three of the five Classic Carolina Homes and would recommend staying in any of them. Richard is always a pleasure to work with. Thanks Richard for the recommendation of Hot Dog World, it was fantastic! Thanks for making our Apple Fest weekend relaxing and comfortable!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eagles Rest Lodge. The cabin was well appointed and had everything we could wish for in terms of cooking and linens, not to mention games, books (I read two that were on the shelf) and even little things like mosquito spray, though we didn’t need it the week we were there. Our two twenty-something year old kids enjoyed the hot tub on several occasions. We turned the air off the moment we got there and enjoyed the wonderful sounds of the forest and creek as we fell asleep each night. The cabin is well situated, away from the hustle and bustle, but in reach of many day tripping adventures. We visited downtown Hendersonville, downtown Brevard, Mt. Pisgah, the Dupont Forest, Lake Lure, and though I’m not into it, my husband and kids went ziplining at The Gorge while I enjoyed the shops in Saluda and had a wonderful meal at The Purple Onion. Close to town, yet far enough away to enjoy the solitude of the mountain, we would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to get away from the 9-5 life for a while. We are already planning next year’s trip. Thanks, Singer family for a great place to call our home on our annual trip to the mountains of North Carolina.
Great house for a family with kids, our 4 kids range from 4-13. We had relatives who live nearby over several times and the main level of the house easily handles a very large crowd. Very tucked away on a beautiful, serene, lush private property yet within a half hour drive to Asheville, Lake Lure/Chimney Rock, Brevard, Blur Ridge Pkwy, Hendersonville, Mills River, all of which we day-tripped to. Highlights were boating/beaching on Lake Lure, going out Rock climbing with Fox Mountain Guides and Climbing School based in Brevard, zip lining, tubing, looking glass, splashville in Asheville for the little ones downtown Asheville, hiking Graveyard Fields in Pisgah forest and swimming in the swimming hole there, Hendersonville, Chimney Rock and Brevard. The game room/garage was an added bonus, nothing fancy but perfect for our rainy afternoons. The hot tub was a huge hit day and night and the view while in the hot tub and listening to the creek running by was fabulous. House amenities in kitchen, bedrooms and paper products supplied were plenty. Nice clean house. Large dining table was great and large kitchen island was the best, I want that in my house! We used the grill and washer/dryer daily with no problems. Satellite dish Internet/cable was sketchy on a few occasions but was overall decent and we did have lots of heavy rain which caused the lost connections. No AT&T cell coverage but used landline for local calls. It was kind of nice to be “unplugged” from texting! Big circular paved driveway was easy to navigate in our non-4 wheel drive. Games and puzzles and local attraction books, maps and magazines provided and a great collection of DVD’s (in our opinion). The master bedroom is very large we had our youngest and our nephew sleeping on air mattresses in with us with room to spare. (We brought air mattresses ourselves) Had 2 boys sharing a full size bed in one room and our teen in the smaller bedroom. Master bed was like sleeping on a cloud, very comfy! Owner Beth came by one day while a new fridge was being installed and she was so sweet. All communication with Richard was quick and easy. We had a great experience from first inquiry till the last day of our stay. Highly recommend.
Blue Ridge Cabin
This cabin was amazing. EVERYTHING you need is here. Very clean and very cozy. I came here for three nights with my husband and three boys and we did not want to leave. I highly recommend this beautiful cabin.
It was a joy and a pleasure spending Springbreak at Blue Ridge Cabin in Flat Rock (Hendersonville). The cabin is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The furnishings are gorgeous and so comfy. The updated kitchen is divine- fun to prepare meals in.
And the view….the view is spectacular. Sitting on the front porch overlooking the valley down below is awesome. And then from the master bedroom-seeing the lights of Hendersonville is so romantic!
Since it was chilly, we built fires in the stone fireplace, and played games that were there in the living room.
We went to a play at the Flat Rock Playhouse just down the mountain, and it was hilarious. Wonderful acting.
One day we spent at the Carl Sandburg house and property. Gorgeous home and meadows.
It was truly a blessing to stay at the Blue Ridge Cabin, a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of the real world.
Our family looks so forward to returning to this home !!
What a wonderful mountain cabin! The open Living/Dining/Kitchen area is comfortable in size with a character that is both cozy and spacious….providing ample room for the family to gather together around the fireplace or enjoy preparing a meal together. The cabin (with a vaulted ceiling and gable end filled with glass) offers a great view overlooking Hendersonville below (mountains in daylight and city lights in the evening).
The locations is properly secluded and high in the mountain…yet a short drive to charming Flat Rock or Hendersonville beyond (where we found a charming downtown with good restaurants).
I would enthusiastically recommend this cabin as a great mountain get away!
