Biltmore

Biltmore Estate is a historic house museum and tourist attraction in Asheville, North Carolina. Biltmore House, the main residence, is a Chateauesque-style mansion built for George Washington Vanderbilt II between 1889 and 1895 and is the largest privately owned house in the United States, at 178,926 square feet (16,622.8 m2) of floor space (135,280 square feet of living area). Still owned by George Vanderbilt's descendants, it remains one of the most prominent examples of Gilded Age mansions.

Mount Mitchell

Mount Mitchell is the highest peak of the Appalachian Mountains and the highest peak in mainland eastern North America. It is located near Burnsville in Yancey County, North Carolina; in the Black Mountain subrange of the Appalachians, about 19 miles northeast of Asheville.

The Tryon International Equestrian Center

The Tryon International Equestrian Center is one of the premier centers in the equestrian world. But everyone will enjoy this gorgeous facility surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, as it's geared towards the total enjoyment of competitor and spectator alike. The Center is open to the public so drop in for lunch or dinner at one of our many restaurants (year-round), watch a competition, or attend one of our regular special events like the summer "Saturday Night Lights" festivals or non-equestrian related events like outdoor movie night, trivia or themed evenings.

Asheville

Asheville is a city in western North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s known for a vibrant arts scene and historic architecture, including the dome-topped Basilica of Saint Lawrence. The vast 19th-century Biltmore estate displays artwork by masters like Renoir. The Downtown Art District is filled with galleries and museums, and in the nearby River Arts District, former factory buildings house artists' studios.

Chimney Rock State Park

Chimney Rock State Park is a North Carolina state park in Chimney Rock, Rutherford County, North Carolina in the United States. The 6,956-acre (28.15 km2) park is located 25 miles (40 km) southeast of Asheville, North Carolina, and is owned by the state of North Carolina. It has hiking trails for all skill levels, views of the Devil's Head balancing rock and a 404-foot (123 m) waterfall, Hickory Nut Falls. Its most notable feature is a 315-foot (96 m) rock formation, a granite monolith, Chimney Rock, accessible by elevator and providing views of the park and surrounding countryside.

Hendersonville

Hendersonville is a city south of Asheville, in North Carolina. Downtown, the Henderson County Heritage Museum exhibits Civil War artifacts and a replica of a 1900s general store. West, Jump Off Rock overlook offers sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Mills River Park has picnic spots and a dog park. A former golf club, the Park at Flat Rock has indigenous flora and fauna, including red-winged blackbirds.

Lake Lure

Lake Lure is a town in Rutherford County, North Carolina, United States. In 2010 the town population was 1,192. Lake Lure was incorporated in 1927, and acquired the lake after which it is named in 1965.

Point Lookout Winery

Point Lookout Vineyards is situated at 3,000-feet above sea level, with a panoramic views of mountains, vineyards and farmland.  The ten wines offered include six reds and four whites. The reds are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Rosé, Petit Verdot, Cliffield (a red blend), and Javine, a coffee and chocolate infused red that is a nod to the owner’s Jackson’s Java coffee shops in Charlotte. Plus, enjoy their great selection of mead!

Pearson Falls

Pearson's Falls is located in the foothills of Western North Carolina off Hwy. 176 between Tryon and Saluda. This wildlife and bird sanctuary comprises 268 acres of native forest, granite, spring-fed streams and a moderate 1/4 mile trail to a 90-foot waterfall.

Sierra Nevada Brewery and Tap Room

At the Sierra Nevada Taproom and Restaurant you’ll find the ultimate counterpart to our award winning ales and lagers. Stop by to sample one of our 19 beers on tap accompanied by artfully prepared gourmet meals and dishes made with local, seasonal, sustainable ingredients. St. Paul Winery

Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards is a family-owned operation located in the heart of Henderson County's apple country. Nestled on 10 acres of a land grant from England are panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains that the family has enjoyed for generation, and now would like to share with you. The 14 varieties of wine-grape vines grown on the vineyards at elevations of 2,300 and 3,000 feet, along with the cool nights, develop some the best wine-producing grapes in the country. Meticulously growing our fruit allows us to incorporate the unique character of our vineyards into each bottle. The Pisgah National Forest

Pisgah National Forest is a National Forest in the Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina. It is administered by the United States Forest Service, part of the United States Department of Agriculture. The Pisgah National Forest is completely contained within the state of North Carolina.

Sliding Rock

Sliding Rock is a waterfall in Western North Carolina, located near Brevard, so named because visitors can slide all the way down the waterfall into the plunge pool below.

The DuPont State Forest

DuPont State Recreational Forest, commonly known as DuPont Forest, is a 10,473-acre state forest, located in Henderson and Transylvania counties of North Carolina. The name originates from the fact that the DuPont company arranged the sale of the original tract to the state.
